Nautilus Submarine – Art Car

The work you see in the pictures is both woodwork and metal work I did on the Nautilus Submarine art car. I designed and fabricated the bulkhead and all that it entails, the circular door, removable cabinet and center bar. I also designed and built the stair treads on the interior. On the exterior I designed and fabricated the front nose cone and all the spikes that run along the front.

The Nautilus Submarine was crafted by art collective http://fivetoncrane.org

Black Oak Desk

My client came to me in need of a computer desk with one very special need, hide hard drives and cables. I put together a number of different sketches and my client chose this industrial/contemporary style.

It’s a style that I really enjoy and has a really great aesthetic. The materials are Black Oak and 1/4 inch thick cold rolled steel. The steel legs were cut using a water jet, the seams welded, rivets added and then the steel was aged.

Dimensions: 3′ x 5′ x 5″

Secret Door Bookcase

My client came to me with a request for a built-in bookcase with a secret door on a tight budget. I created a few different styles of case work and got to work on the project.

I used maple ply, maple hardwood for trim, india ink and safe coat polyuraseal. Install took a few days and my client was blown away when he returned home

to find his new casework with secret doors(cat door).
